Hello friends!! Welcome back to Honey Bee Tuesday!! A Tuesday that just happens to be my birthday!! I have a birthday card to share with you today, with a little play on words!!
I love this little bird from the Snow Birds set & wanted to create a card that wasn’t holiday related. I began by using the A2 Double Stitched Frames Honey Cut die to cut the background panel, then used the heart stencil from the Fall Showers Stencil set, with a thin layer of Moonstone Nuvo Glimmer Paste. I stamped the snowbird with Momento Tuxedo Black Ink and colored it with Copic markers, before fussy cutting (Coordinating Dies also available). I used the Happy Honey Cut Die to cut part of the sentiment from red & black cardstock. I adhered the die cuts together, slightly offset to create a drop shadow. The rest of the sentiment was created with the Simple Alpha set, spelling “birday”, which was heat embossed in white onto a strip of black cardstock. The heart balloons started with a stamp from the Little Pickup set. I stamped the hearts with Momento Tuxedo Black Ink, drew the necks and bows onto the balloons, then colored them with Copic markers. I freehanded some strings onto white cardstock, then fussy cut the balloons and strings. Then I assembled the card as shown. The bird, balloons, strings and “birday” banner are all adhered with foam tape for added dimension. I added some dots to the hat and highlights to the balloons with a white gel pen. That’s it!!
This card just makes me happy!!!
Thanks so much for stopping by today!!! Have a great week!!!!
Hello everyone!! Yay…it’s Friday!! I am over on The Ton’s Blog today taking part in the 2017 Winter Coffee Lover’s Blog Hop!!! Here’s a peek of the card I’m sharing…
Come on over and hop along with us!!!!!
Have a GREAT weekend!!!
Hello there!! I am taking a break from holiday cards over on The Ton’s Blog today with these two pink beauties,,,I’d love for you to stop by and take a peek!!!
Hello friends!! As I mentioned last week, I received several new-to-me stamp sets from Honey Bee & I can’t stop playing with them!! Seriously, so many ideas swimming around in my head!!! I love the combination of this cute little deer with the matching sentiment!!!
Here’s how I created it!! I began by ink blending some Distress Oxide Inks onto a panel of Bristol paper, then splattered on some White Gold paint from the Kuretake Gansai Tambi Starry Colors watercolor set. Next, I stamped the deer, trees & gifts from More Flakey Friends; and the sled from Flakey Friends with Momento Tuxedo Black Ink and colored with Copic markers. Then I cut the images with the More Flakey Friends Honey Cuts and Flakey Friends Honey Cuts. I also die cut some snow mounds from the Hills Borders Honey Cuts. I spread some Nuvo Glitter Accents – Fresh Snowfall over the die cuts with my finger, for a little sparkle. I stamped the sentiment, “You’re A Deer Friend” from More Flakey Friends with Versamark and heat embossed it with white embossing powder. I cut a panel of white cardstock the same size as my card base, then used the A2 Double Stitched Frames Honey Cuts to cut a frame for my little scene. I adhered all the dies as shown, popping the deer, sled & small gifts up with foam adhesive. I also stamped the small heart from More Flakey Friends in red and die cut it with the Coordinating Honey Cuts. I think the heart is the perfect finishing touch!!!
Isn’t this scene so cute??? I can’t wait to create more scenes with these adorable sets!! That tree is so perfect!! Be prepared to see it a lot more on my projects!!
Thanks for stopping by!! Have a wonderful week!!!
Hello everyone!! Welcome to December!! I can’t believe Christmas will be here in 3 1/2 weeks!!
For the month of December, Effie created a new Mood Board for The Ton’s Challenge Blog…
I loved all the soft colors in the mood board, but in the end, my eye kept going to the tree in the bottom right corner. Here’s my project…
I started off by stamping the Christmas Tree layering stamp with Aspen Cocoa, Bright Fern & Basil Mojito inks. I stamped the star & ornaments from the Christmas Tree set with Versamark and heat embossed with gold sparkle embossing powder. The sentiment is from Holiday Ballet and was also heat embossed with gold sparkle embossing powder, before fussy cutting the sentiment and tree as one piece. The Haute Stripe Background Cling Stamp was embossed with the same gold sparkle embossing powder onto red cardstock, then die-cut with the Double Stitched Rectangle Die (Large). I stamped several stockings from the Fireplace Holiday Accessories set with Caviar Ink, colored with Copic markers then fussy cut. I added the names of my brother’s sweet family to the stocking to personalize this just for them. I think that makes a Holiday card even more special, don’t you? I popped the stripe panel onto some fun foam & adhered it to a top-folding note card. The tree was adhered with foam adhesive, as were the stockings. For a little more dimension, I placed gold holographic sequins from the Kiwi Smoothie Couture Mix over each ornament.
That’s it!! I think my youngest niece will love this card…she LOVES her some glitter too…lol!!!
Now it’s your turn!! You have all week to play along!! You may even win a $50 gift code to The Ton’s Shop!!!
Hello friends!! I recently got some new-to-me products from Honey Bee and I am IN LOVE!!!!! I combined several sets to make this Christmas shaker card & I couldn’t love it more! There are quite a few steps involved, but the Globe & Ornament Shaker Card Honey Cut Die makes it really simple!! You can actually make an ornament like I did here, or a snow globe!! Genius!!! I started off by blending alcohol inks onto Yupo paper, then set it aside to dry. While that was drying, I used the Globe & Ornament Shaker Card Honey Cut Die to cut the front of the ornament from white cardstock 8 times & the solid die of the ornament from transparency once; then the top of the ornament from silver glitter paper. The white parts were stacked and adhered on top of each other to create the “shaker”, with the transparency sandwiched between the top two layers. I also cut the Hills Borders Honey Cuts Die from white cardstock to use on my background. I stamped the tree from more Flakey Friends & the pickup and gifts from Little Pickup set with Momento Tuxedo Black Ink and colored them with Copics. I then used the Flakey Friends Honey Cuts & Little Pickup Honey Cuts to die cut the colored images. I used some Nuvo Glitter Accents – Fresh Snowfall to add some sparkly snow to the hills, tree & pickup truck, then set aside to dry. The Merry die is from the Merry & Bright Honey Cuts and was cut from silver glitter paper. The Christmas part of the sentiment is from Season’s Tweetings; it was white heat embossed onto a strip of black cardstock, then banner cut on the ends. The back of the ornament was die cut from the alcohol-inked Yupo paper with the Globe & Ornament Shaker Card Honey Cut Die. Then all that was left was to assemble the card!! The snowy hills were adhered to the background portion of the ornament and trimmed. The tree was also adhered to the background. Bokeh Lights Confetti Mix & Snowball Shaker Bits were placed onto the background, then the front part of the ornament was adhered to it. The truck, Merry die-cut, ornament top and Christmas banner were adhered as shown. I used some silver wired cord from my stash for a loop and bow.
This even fits into an A2 sized envelope!! Perfection!!
I am off to figure out a way to mass produce this to make my Christmas cards this year!!!
Have a great week!!!
Hello!! I am over on The Ton’s Blog today with this simple shaker card!!
I would love for you to stop by!!!!
Hello there!! I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving and ate all the turkey your stomach could hold!!
Now that Thanksgiving is over, it has really hit me that I need to get to work on my Christmas cards!! Do you send out handmade holiday cards? Well, The Ton has made it much easier on us this year!!All you need is this Vintage Christmas Block stamp, white & colored cardstock, Versamark & your choice of embossing powder!! Such a simple, but elegant card that anyone would love to receive!! I heat embossed my red cardstock with gold & gold sparkle embossing powders, while the blue cardstock was embossed with silver and a combination of sparkle silver & white. I trimmed the embossed images, leaving a small border of the colored cardstock. Then they were matted with a piece of red or silver glitter paper…easy peasy!! Plus, you will not have to add extra postage, since they are bulk-free!!
Thanks for stopping by today!!! I hope I have inspired you to get started on your holiday cards!!!
Hello there all!! Welcome back to another project for Honey Bee Tuesday!!! I can’t stop playing with the adorable birds from the Season’s Tweetings set!! When I looked at the set, I thought it would be so cute to arrange all the birds into a choir, singing Christmas carols…I started off by first stamping all the birds from the Season’s Tweetings set onto full adhesive post-it notes and cut them out to create a few masks of each bird. Then I went to work stamping the rows of birds with Versamark and heat embossing them with gold embossing powder, masking as needed. Once all the stamping & embossing was complete, I colored the birds with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers. Next, I watercolored the sky with Distress Ink, then splattered with water and picked up some of the color to look like snow. I also flicked some watered down white paint onto the sky for snowflakes. The sentiment and music notes are also from Season’s Tweetings, and were stamped with Versamark and heat embossed with gold embossing powder onto the sky. I trimmed the panel down slightly and adhered it onto some fun foam, before centering it onto some gold foil striped paper that I had in my stash.
Thanks again for joining me for another Honey Bee Tuesday!!! I’ll see you next Tuesday with another Honey Bee project!!!
Hello everyone!! I LOVE combining elements from different manufacturers on cards!!!!!! I have a traditional colored holiday card to share with you today…I began by stamping the Holly Branch from The Ton several times on white cardstock with their Bright Fern, Coral Cavern & Valentine inks. I stamped the branch & the veins in the holly leaves with Versamark & heat embossed with gold embossing powder. The Holly Branch Coordinating Die was then used to cut out the images. I also used the die with an embossing pad to emboss the outline onto red cardstock. The die-cuts were adhered onto the red panel and the elements hanging off the edge were trimmed flush, before matting onto green cardstock and adhering to a top-folding note card. The sentiment is from the WPlus9 Be Merry set. It was embossed with gold embossing powder before cutting with the Coordinating Die. I also colored the open part of Merry with a red Tombow marker. I added some sparkle to each of the berries with a Spectrum Noir Sparkle Pen and then covered with some Morning Dew Nuvo Drops for dimension. Lastly, I used small confetti dots from the Occasion Confetti set with some Tsukeneko Galaxy Gold Ink to fill in the spaces on the background.
Thanks for hanging out with me for a bit today!! Have a delightful day!!
